We track public Etsy search results daily to run ListEZ. Across 528,569 re-observations of the same listing on the same keyword, only 1.4% had a different title between two sightings a median 31 days apart. The most discussed field on an Etsy listing is, in practice, the least edited one.

Meanwhile rank is sticky: 21.0% of listings held the exact same position over that window and only 6.1% moved ten places or more. So an under-optimized listing stays under-optimized, quietly, for as long as you leave it. Launching a better product does not fix the fifty listings already sitting on page four.
